CONATUS

Writer: Steve HasenmuellerSteve Hasenmueller

Baruch Spinoza promoted a "conatus" philosophy in the 1600s.

Conatus translates as "Effort," and his premise was that all things (including humans) have an innate desire to strive to persist in their existence and to enhance their being.

To Grow and Prosper.

When we deny this natural drive, which exists from birth, our lives and careers can quickly get off track.

Heeding that drive is called Personal Development, which requires a never-ending Effort.

The best time to make that Effort is Today,

Conatus Hodie
